Before the Storm

20 x 20 x 1.5 inch acrylic on canvas piece marks the artist's first real attempt at impressionism. This piece is dedicated to the Halo Arts Project's "Angels for Artists" fundraiser, and depicts a Lifeguard Station at Florida's Ft. Desoto Beach prior to Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024.
 
The piece follows the theme of "Obstruction, Reduction, Construction." The Ft. Desoto park was severely impacted by the storms, forcing it to close for several months.
