Up to the Challenge

This 20 x 20 x 1.5 inch acrylic on canvas is the artist's first steps in experimenting with impressionism. Not an impressionistic piece by any means, the style is much less detailed than his previous body of work, with more defined bursh strokes and little to no blending of colors. It represents the attitude of the artist regarding life. A former US Marine and former competitive martial artist, he has trained to overcome obstacles, obstructions, and challenges. The artists youngest sons are following this example, and the image depicts their six foot  heavybag hanging in their home gym.
